Suddenly the Summer was over...

Coming out of lockdown gave us the opportunity to have some sort of a Summer, despite all the restrictions. Of course I have been spending a lot of time caring for my Dad, but have still managed to get out and about a bit. Being members of the National Trust means we don't have to travel too far for a decent day out. We enjoy Beningbrough Hall and gardens very much, even on a rainy day.  Nunnington Hall is another nearby place we like to visit, even though  on  this visit the Hall itself was off limits. Made a friend in the tea garden. It was another grey and damp day so we made a return visit on a much sunnier day. As I was recovering from having been rather ill, I left the  energetic stuff to my wife and granddaughter. Another place we often visit, because it is only such a short drive away, is Sutton Park.
